    Class 1 & Class 2:

    Introduction to Computers ( 3 hours)

                      You will learn high level over view of the following. After this chapter you will talk like a computer professional and will know what are the terms and what they mean. This is an over-view not an exhaustive lesson.

    •   How computers work?
    •   What computers can do and cannot do?
    •   Memory and hard drive how they work?
    •  Operating System, what it means? Types of Operating Systems.
    •   Assembly language
    •   Machine Language
    •   What are the servers? Web servers, application servers, database servers etc.
    •  How computers communicate on networked environment? Protocols what they are?
    •  Internet, web what they are how they work?

    Introduction to Software Engineering (3 hours)

    1. SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
    2. Software development languages, high-level languages, Different software languages in use. 
    3. Compilation, Interpretation etc…

    Introduction to Software Testing (2 hours )

    •  Introduction to Quality Assurance. Responsibilities of a Tester. Required traits for a good tester.
    •  Types of Tests performed and their definitions.
    •  Tools available to automate the testing process.

    Class 3 & Class 4:

    Introduction to Software Development (6 hours)

                              Requirements, analysis, business requirements, system requirements etc.
                              Introduction to Internet technologies and languages.
                              Design and Develop a webpage using HTML Editor as per user requirement.
                              Write small JavaScript function to validate the user input in the html page.
                              Write small asp page using vbscript to incorporate business logic.
                              Object oriented vs. procedural languages.

    General Topics of Interest ( 2 hours )

    1. Software Engineering jobs, roles, titles, what they do? How they do? Etc.
    2. Questions about the software industry, jobs salaries etc...

    Class 5 

     Introducation to SQL ( 4 hours )

              Introduction to databases and sql. Entiry Relationships, Identify entities, create tables, identify constraits, Introduce Oracle Applications Express( HTMLDB), practice common select, insert, update,delete operations.

    Remaining 7 Classes( each class 4 to 5 hours):


    After this introduction classes candidates will be made into batches based on their interest and abilities for the following courses. Minimum 4 students for each class.

    Database Design and SQL Fundamentals

    We will cover full scope of this tutorial.
